Borussia Dortmund has announced the signing of American footballer Christian Bellingham from Seattle Sounders FC.
The 17-year-old midfielder is set to join the Bundesliga giants on a five-year deal and will make his debut for the club in their next match against Union Berlin.
Bellingham made headlines earlier this year when he scored four goals in two matches during the MLS All-Star game, earning him praise from both fans and critics alike.
He was also named as one of the top young talents in world football by The Guardian, and his talent has not gone unnoticed by European clubs.
Dortmund manager Lucien Favre said: "We are delighted to have signed Christian Bellingham. He is a talented player with a great future ahead of him."
Bellingham's arrival at Dortmund comes just weeks after Borussia Monchengladbach defender Marc-André ter Stegen joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
The German giants were keen to secure the services of Ter Stegen after he rejected the offer of a new contract with Gladbach.
However, Dortmund had been tracking Bellingham since he was just 14 years old, and the club believes that he can be the missing piece in their squad.
Bellingham has already shown glimpses of his potential during his time at Seattle Sounders FC, scoring six goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.
With his speed,Football Perspective Network dribbling ability and technical skills, Bellingham could become a key player for Dortmund in the coming seasons.
His move to Dortmund is expected to boost the morale of the team, who have struggled to find form in recent months.
The club's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, said: "We are excited to welcome Christian Bellingham to our club. He is a talented player with a bright future ahead of him.
"We are confident that he will contribute to our success in the upcoming season."
